Week of 10/8/17:
Borrower is receiving a delayed inheritance of a property that is in his sister’s name. Borrower does not have money for the down payment. Borrower is living in the property as a tenant but is not making the house payment.
So, we have no proof of continuity of obligation.
Sister provides a gift of equity for the down payment and the closing costs using FHA financing.
Loan is approved subject to bringing income and debt ratios in line.
Sister is also helping brother by paying down his bills.
What a great sister!
